So I really don't want to stay in this weekend. I can't deal with dating apps anymore, especially knowing now how much they use “seeding”. I want to go to the bar and meet someone today or tomorrow night. Doesn't matter if it progresses to anything I just want to get back out there. Only problem is I have little to no experience doing this, I’ve had terrible experiences in the past when I have gone out, and I have some shit social anxiety when it comes to the bar scene. I know I have to take big risks and if I don't, I won't get rejected but I also won't fix my problem. I also know I may fail multiple times before I feel comfortable. That being said I’d also like to be prepared as possible. So what should I know before going out there? Signs of interest to look for? bars or clubs? sober or a few drinks? I should add that I will be going out by myself and I have NEVER done that. 26 y/o M for reference.
