One woman may define a successful man by his wealth, for example, a man with lots of money who spoils her with all the luxuries in the world. Another woman may simply define a successful man as a hard-working one rich with purpose, morals, and integrity. While the latter is crucial to discern, the former (in my humble opinion) is definitely essential too. The fact is, on the surface, men want the most beautiful woman that they can get. And women, I hope I can speak for most when I shamelessly say we wouldn’t mind getting a man with a big fat bank book. The problem with modern dating. With the advent of dating apps, connecting with people and meeting men isn’t hard at all. It’s quite easy actually. And therein lies the problem. If you’re not careful, it’s easy to find yourself wasting time on endless dates with men who, you eventually come to find out, just aren’t up to par — financially that is. As an aside, I think there is a case to be made about dating better and more intentionally, but I’ll save that for another time. Sometimes when you meet men online, it can be difficult to vet the time wasters until you’re already sitting over a cheap glass of wine bored half to death by this fool. Cozied up on the couch with my cousin watching 90-day Fiance, she jokingly asked… “where do I find a good man… and it wouldn’t hurt if he were a millionaire”. From my experience dealing with successful men (the high-integrity ones at least), they don’t have the time or the patience for foolishness. Now, of course, I’m not saying high-quality men, rich men, or wealthy men aren’t on these dating apps at all — but dating apps are the easy basic af way to “put yourself out there” to meet a successful man or to meet a rich man. Before online dating existed. How did savvy single women find successful men? If you want to meet a successful man or if you want to meet a rich man, these men are out in the real world, in the flesh, living their daily lives every day. And considering the frustration many singles are feeling with online dating, it’s certainly interesting to consider perhaps an offline strategy if you want to cross paths with one of them. The most obvious place to search for a high-caliber man? In real life! In the 1953 movie How To Marry a Millionaire three New York models, Shatze, Pola and Loco set up in an exclusive apartment with a plan. Tired of cheap men and a lack of money, they intend to use all their talents to trap and marry three millionaires. The trouble is that it’s not so easy to tell the rich men from the hucksters.
