Figuring out how a guy feels can be tricky because he can act similarly when he is friendly and when he has romantic feelings. Sometimes, our minds might also perceive things that aren’t really happening because of wishful thinking. If you learn to notice the undeniable signs that a guy is romantically interested in you, you will be more confident to make it obvious you like him or suggest you hang out together. Some CONTROVERSIAL “signs” a guy likes you: He seems nervous – A man can be nervous for many reasons. He might just be a socially anxious person. Many guys control themselves well and even if he is nervous, he might not show it. Or he may even act aloof or arrogant and be nervous inside. It doesn’t mean anything. He immediately adds you on socials – Don’t expect any guy who likes you to add you on socials the next day you met. If you don’t have any other means of contact, maybe. But if he has your number or mutual friends, he might want to take his time and downplay it if he likes you. He could like you even if he doesn’t do it. Liking all your pictures/stories on socials – Definitely not a clear sign. He might like you a lot and not “like” anything you post online. Or he may like your content as well as that of other 2534 girls. He could like you even if he doesn’t do it. He asks you a lot of questions to get to know you – He might be just the curious type who is generally interested in people. Some guys who like you won’t ask questions directly either because they’re shy or don’t want to make their interest too obvious. They may try to figure you out in sneakier ways – analysing what you say, checking your online presence etc. It doesn’t mean anything. He shows jealousy – If he shows signs of jealousy when you mention/talk with other men then he probably likes you. But not all men who like you will show jealousy and some men are not the jealous type even when they really like a woman. He could like you even if he doesn’t do it. Texting back fast – He could be the type of guy who is always on the phone. Or if he takes long to respond, he could be taking his time to craft an answer and not seem too eager. It doesn’t mean anything . Unlike all the above listed, the signs below are the the best to tell if a guy likes you, because they are involuntary. When someone likes you, those behaviours are the hardest to control. Because even if a guy tried to hide his feelings, these actions would give him away. Watch out for those behaviours and if you see them all at once, you can be rest assured someone likes you, (even when you just met). The universal undeniable signs a guy is interested. He will be fully engaged in your conversation. Friendly – he is interested in what you talk about, but as soon as something/somebody interrupts, he will get distracted and might even forget the topic of your conversation. He won’t keep up with the conversation at any cost. Interested – He is so focused on the conversation to a point where he doesn’t notice anything around him. It feels like his soaking every word. My friend and this guy were talking about a random thing and he was so attentive to what she was saying, that he later pointed out with amazement how it started raining cats and dogs and he hadn’t even noticed. He will smile a lot MORE when he talks to you. Friendly – Guys smile much less often than girls. Why? Because of biology! Facial muscules, including those responsible for smile and laughter are controlled by a part of the brain called Brodmann’s Area 44. This area is much smaller in men than in women. If a man is just friendly he may smile from time to time , but the smile will be much more brief and occasional, like when you said something that was actually funny. Interested – If a guy can’t take his smile off his face when he talks to you, then he is interested. When we like someone, we can’t stop smiling because interacting with them showers us with dopamine. This is the so called “The Duchenne Smile”. You will notice how his face relaxes and brightens up when he talks to you. You can check some Google examples to see the difference between a “smile” and a “Duchenne Smile”. He stares in your eyes when you speak. Friendly – He keeps eye contact, nods and shows attention, but looks away from time to time. Again, he won’t be distracted by your conversation. Interested – When a guy likes you he can’t help but gaze deep into your eyes. This is involuntary done. We do this with people we are really curious to figure out or admire. If the prolonged eye contact is accompanied with a lot of smiling, you have your answer – he is interested. He might miss a few things happening around him. If he does this, it means he’s really focused on you and men have trouble focusing on several things at once. Friendly – he will laugh if what you said was really funny. But if he laughs out of politeness you will hear something that more or less sounds like “haha”. Interested – When a guy is interested, he finds funny everything that comes out of your mouth and remotely resembles a joke. He will smile a lot and laugh a lot. This is because your general presence puts him in a good mood. What do we do when we like someone? We blush and giggle just by thinking of them. All that goes through his head is “She’s so cute and funny.” He will find something to tease you about and he will keep repeating it. Friendly – Unlikely, but even if he jokes about something about you it will be ONCE. Interested – You know how in kindergarden boys pull the braids of girls they like? It’s the same as adults, only more civilised.
