I was thrilled at first because I am new to city and I do not have a car. However, after signing up (as this is the only way you can see the calendar) most events are in the either in Maryland or Virginia. If I had known this prior, I would not have signed up for this service because I was looking forward to having friends in the city. I know that Arlington, McLean, Bethesda are close. However, it still can bit of a hassle to use the metro to get to these areas. Also, during the intake process the women stated that there would be free events. Sadly, that's not really true. Most of everything is pay as you go. So, you don't get anything for your money. As far as the event its really up to you to build connections with people as the host does not help in facilitating conversations. See more. MSC not only has open my eyes to new adventures, locations, and experience, but I've gotten to meet amazing people from different background who also enjoy the same things as I do. MSC has given me th e motivation to get out of the house and just have fun. I love the different options of events that I can attend with others, that I would have never gone or done on my own. Half the time I don't know some of the event locations even existed. I'm always anxious as to what next months calendar will bring. See more. I have been a member of My Social Calendar for quite some time. I hosted an Eagles Watch Party at Buffalo Wild Wings at KOP and everyone had a fantastic time! It is such a great way to socialize and meet new people of all ages. I am still friends with the people I have met through this social club. The events are a lot of fun and Alison and Kendall are absolutely wonderful and are always receptive to customer feedback so as to improve the types of outings and experiences. I highly recommend My Social Calendar! See more. It was an interesting experience. I wasn't really sure what to expect going into it. Definitely people of all ages attend. I am new to this and have only gone to one event so far, but I think it could be beneficial to have some events for specific age ranges so it's guaranteed that people will have something more in common. The Texas de Brazil was a great place… The Texas de Brazil was a great place and they took care of our group. They had us in the main dinning area and then moved us into the private party room cause we had a big group. It was better for us cause we were able to talk and have conversations with everyone.
